Day 3: 21.07.08. At Cattolica on the Adriatic.
Very smooth journey so far. We wonder if we're really part of a rally. All the other teams headed straight for Prague for the big Czech out party on 20th, and we're out on our own on the Adriatic. Last night we reached Hospental, near the Gottard tunnel in Switzerland, and met up with our good friends Christof and Marino. Thank you for coming to meet us. We've already enjoyed some of your "viatique": bread and wine and sausage and cheese.
A big big thank you to Colin and Yaba, Rachel and Mark, Cathy and Zoe, Pat, Dearbhla, Gemma, Diarmuid, Katharyn, Saoirse, Aoife, Naoise, Ellen and Richard, for a warm send-off in London. It was great to see you all.
Mary is the official procurement officer (details witheld!). Two hours stints of driving, navigating and resting on the back seat with Noirin's cushion, has become the pattern... Three is definitely good. Tonight we're at the Adriatic resort of Cattolica, in time to see the sweep-up after a golf-ball sized hailstorm. A swim tomorrow before we set off for Brindisi?

Our last blog ... til the next adventure! The last 48 hours have been pure enjoyment. And there's another day to go!! We were delighted to meet Gana and Zaya and their new Baby who was safely deelivered 9 days ago. Thank you Niamh for the wherewithall to wet the babys head's. A big go raigh maith agat to you Paddy from Gana for all the car STUFF. Hope we did you credit with our description of the spare parts..... Mary had a little difficulty assembling the emergency triangle - another evening course may be on the cards! Anne Marie, we are looking forward to relieving ourselves of your last treat at Dave's bar tonight with some fellow rallyers we met along the way - to think we thought there was no rally while going through Turkey ... They've emerged form the sand storms!! A big big thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way and to all who have followoed our blogs. We know it was more than the Suzuki that got us here.
