have finally found a computer i can use in fantastic Almaty-town. unfortunetly the SJ has finally died a death; about 500 Km's from here and had to be towed by Lee's Rover to a local Suzuki garage where a very kind man has bought it for $300. quite good considering the engine was shot and both rear suspension struts had snapped. had our first decent meal since Iran last night and have just bought flight home from Almaty at 3 AM for about $780. its been a real hard slog since leaving Iran, and we must give huge thanks to David & Esteban, a spanish team in beautiful, purple, Renault 4 Limosuine who got Dani through the Uzbek border and not have to spend 3 days sleeping in no-mans land, alone. they've also given us tow-rope, which we broke, money and endless amounts of good humour when needed and moral support; cant thank you enough guys and hope you make it to Mongolia; at least you will be a lot quicker with out us. so now all we have to do is hang out in Almaty for about 7 hours, found a great club last night called Almaty Soho Club last night, its kinda like the Annabels of akzakstan and had some great bands covering loads of english songs. we're all heartbroken that we wont make it Mongolia, but after much deliberation, cant see any other sensible (financially viable!) options. its been a great trip with its fair share of highs and lows with some real hard graft emotionally, physically and financially but to be honest im surprised the car has even made it this far. will close for now and get photo's on Facebook or on here as soon as poss' thanks for reading.
