We like a challenge, I think it’s fair to say, whether its scaling cliff’s in Normandy (which nearly claimed the lives of the entire unit!) to night orienteering to recover the sacred Jade Monkey. From the safe escort of the Royal Egg Battalion to a refreshing midnight paddle up the channel. We were just looking for an excuse to wild camp/sleep rough across Kazakhstan and Mongolia when we stumbled across the Mongol Rally. Of course the real clincher was when Mrs F and Mrs S said that NO, under no circumstances were we allowed to even think about signing up for such an endeavour...
