Tarts On Tour The older we get the faster we woz!
Having exhausted our repertoire of 30 year old rallying stories (friends were losing the will to live when we started spinning our yarns)
We have decided in our dotage and fast approaching senility to recharge the story bank.
Our first vehicle of choice was a Suzuki SJ, the one time favourite mount of hairdressers but after driving it decided it was a bag of nails and have now opted for a £350 Ford Transit Ambulance which will hopefully get us farther than we did with the hairdressers we dated.

GOT the 'T' shirt and certificate

Eventually made it to UB on Friday Night after a long drive in a clapped our Gaz jeep with a Mongolian Boy racer at the wheel. Will never complain about British roads again!

Thanks to our new found friends in Mongolia we avoided the direct route to from Altai to UB and were lucky enough to see lots of sites on the way which we otherwise would have missed, such as sleeping under the stars next to the salt lake at Baatsagaan, staying in a gur at the hot springs north of Bayarhonger, and celebrating John's 61st Bithday at a 2 a.m. chicken and chips dinner party in a "gurtel" before visiting Karakorum on Friday morning.

On the down side George had a bout of sunstroke and was laid low for a day before we pushed on to UB. On our arrival in UB we were shown the sites and taken for lunch (bad move) but  we had to cut short our partying activities on Saturday night and commune with the hotel toilet seat until we flew home on Monday morning
