Where are we?

	Ulaanbaatar - Mongolia at 19:11 on Everybody Yurts said UB. We made it! Slightly surreal after 47 days in the car! The time spent in Mongolia has been brilliant; great driving, great convoying, and great scenery. We said goodbye to Izzy today. Very sad to see her go, but elated we made it to the end. Plenty of teams still here, so good times. Feels strange we have nowhere else to drive to!

	Khovd - Mongolia at 03:23 on Everybody Yurts said Mongolia! Mongolia! Thrice: Mongolia! Made it in on Friday, the last car before the weekend closure. Swift progress so far on the Mongolian antobahn.

	at 21:00 on Everybody Yurts said We're now about two thirds into our 48hr, three country, two border, 2000km non-stop push to Mongolia. Who needs sleep? We have Elton on the stero, and Pitbull energy drink to fuel us. As Sir Fergie would say, it's squeaky bum time.

	Helsinki - Finland at 17:10 on Everybody Yurts said And we're...still in Karaganda! But we have the head gasket in our hands! We could be on the road again tmrw pm! If we can remember how to drive!

	Astana - Kazakhstan at 05:27 on Everybody Yurts said The car has had two days of being towed, pushed, and carried on the back of a transporter a total of 550km. We're in Karagandi, south east of Astana awaiting a spare part from The Netherlands, and hoping it's not game over. In the meantime our hotel has karaoke and a pool with a waterslide!

	Almaty - Kazakhstan at 06:02 on Everybody Yurts said Great driving through Krygyz yesterday. We drank fermented mares' milk at 3185m, and made it across the border and to Almaty for midnight. Then out into town for a new style of kebab and a bar with a superb covers band that played until 3am.

	Osh - Kyrgyzstan at 11:41 on Everybody Yurts said Kyrgyz border late last night was our quickest and easiest since Europe. Stayed in some apartment-thing in Osh. Currently chasing down the te ** some text is missing **

	Tashkent - Uzbekistan at 11:10 on Everybody Yurts said Izzy is giving us so many headaches we took the tough decision to bin Tajikistan. Currently in Tashkent trying to source a new fuel pump.

	Bukhara - Uzbekistan at 09:22 on Everybody Yurts said Four days without overheating now. Didn't set off this morning as planned because there is too much to see in Bukhara!

	Turkmenabat - Turkmenistan at 04:38 on Everybody Yurts said Couldn't find a hotel last night. Ended up being invited to be guests of local family. Lots of food and tea, and requests for work visas!

	Ashgabad - Turkmenistan at 17:17 on Everybody Yurts said After everything checked and stamped, we got to final Turkmen border gate at 5:02 yesterday. It closed at 5:00, so we had to camp in no man's land with another team for the night! In the crazy Ashgabat now, chilling out. Although it hit 56 degrees in the car earlier.

	Tehran - Iran at 10:25 on Everybody Yurts said Just dropped off the Caspian coast, north east of Tehran. Iranians proving very helpful. Free petrol and engine tune-up in the last 24 hours!

	Tabriz - Iran at 17:14 on Everybody Yurts said On the road to Tabriz. 3 hour border crossing as various officials kept going awol. Iranians friendly but buying petrol for cash seems a no go.

	Trabzon - Turkey at 20:26 on Everybody Yurts said First problem free day for ages. Made good progress through amazing Turkish scenery. Now in Ordu, tucking into tea and kebab.

	Ankara - Turkey at 18:23 on Everybody Yurts said Long time no update. Spent 1 day in Istanbul drinking with other teams, then 1 day seeking new tyres and sightseeing, then half a day sorting out cooling. Slow going since then, but great scenery today. Staying on the Black Sea coast for a 2nd night, today in Cide.

	Istanbul - Turkey at 09:32 on Everybody Yurts said Blow out number two of the day 20k from the city, then a huge effort to even find vaguely where we were going. Time for a day off from the car.

	Edirne - Turkey at 17:42 on Everybody Yurts said Massive blow out 5k from the Turkey border! The noise was a bit scary but was a good place for it to happen, wheel changed and on our way soon enough.

	Sofia - Bulgaria at 11:09 on Everybody Yurts said Held up yesterday because romania seems to be repaving the entire country at once. Slept by a truckers restaurant in bulgaria.

	Arad - Romania at 11:09 on Everybody Yurts said Did a u turn at the serb border (as did at least 10 other teams) cos a green card was too much, so went into romania instead where the mascots were set apon. Taz down,lizard down... @

	Budapest - Hungary at 14:37 on Everybody Yurts said Just bumped into Bud the bug again, see you guys in UB.headin to serbia today,halfway through hungary without picking up a fine, fingers crossed

	Bratislava - Slovakia at 21:32 on Everybody Yurts said Found brilliant campsite on a lake at Podersdorf just over the border in Austria. Weighing up tmrw's East or South options over some sort of spicy sausage and spaghetti creation. And we've finished painting our car stripes!

	Prague - Czech Republic at 14:57 on Everybody Yurts said Just helped out some aussies looking for a campsite just outside Prague. Looks like the Southern Routers are splitting from here. Think we're aiming for Budapest.

	Klenova (Czech Out) - Czech Republic at 10:06 on Everybody Yurts said Finally got to czech out at 1:30 last night, after being overtaken by the double decker bus at one point!

	Nurburgring - Germany at 21:12 on Everybody Yurts said First breakdown! Blinking warning lights, water spurting everywhere. One of the belts had snapped, so no water pump or alternator. A horrible job to get the jockey wheel out, and the adjusting bolt was bent. We had a spare belt, so...Izzy is back on the road! We can make this party! @

	Luxemburg - Luxemburg at 13:33 on Everybody Yurts said Slow start today, just leaving lux,long drive to czech via germany ahead, with the bonnet bungeed down!

	Brussels - Belgium at 21:51 on Everybody Yurts said Who needs the Nurburgring? We did two laps of the exhilerating Mons (50km south of brussels) Ring Road before finding our campsite. A smooth first day!

	Calais - France at 18:28 on Everybody Yurts said Missed the turning for Lille and ended up in Dunkerque. Nevermind. We took the chance to stock up on food and tequila beer. Car has made one horrible gurgle sound.

	OK...things are starting to hot up. And they need to. It's now less than two months until the rally now! There are some pretty big things on our to-do list, one of which is the paint job. But before we went all out on some crazy flamey monstrosity, we thought we'd concentrate on attractive a primary car sponsor first. There are some good leads on this side of things.
