9000 miles of driving in some extraordinary places which is the London to Mongolia rally!
Thanks to all who have donated and set our target ever closer to the final goal. Still our main aim is to raise as much money as we can to benefit our chosen charities, Hope and homes for children and the Mercy corps mongolia.
Two good mates one from Sydney, Australia and another from Te puke New zealand with the same adventuristic outlook on life.
With your help we can make this trip a success and help bring a positive change into the communities and lives of those in need of our support.

Today we dropped off our camping gear at the charity. We did not know what to expect when we arrived at the camp. We were told that 3 weeks ago a family of 5 children arrived in the camp and the details were as follows. The father murdered the eldest son and so he is in jail, the mother is missing. The youngest child of 2 years has the heel from his foot missing. We met met them and saw the youngest child wheelchaired into the music hall. The statistics of these occurences are quite high. There are 4000 children homeless in the capital most who have to fend for themselves and live underground in the heating ducts. The temperature here alternates between hot and cold as today it began to hail. So you can imagine life in the deepest darkest of winters. 4000 children in a population of approx 3 million is a massive amount. The bright side is, the organisations that take care of the kids are a massive success. They have education programs that include, Medicine, Music programs of which the regional choir that sang for us at the charity travelled to soeul to take part in the compatition. Sports and cultural activities. It was an emotional day dressed with the hope that we have made a positive change for the community. Marty and Leon |
