mongolia. Currently the word i associate with bad luck. In the last few days we have had more flats than an estate agent. A total of 9 now (dan has had them all); a hole in our fuel tank which we spent all night fixing; a broken exhaust which took all morning to bodge; the last blow came this afternoon (we are 7 hours ahead) when it finally came time to cross a river. All the other cars in our now 4car convoy made it... Ours didnt. Due to our low ground clearance and the fact we pretty much have a snow plow on the front of our car, she halted at the deepest part of the crossing. Sadly the water level was just above that of the lower door seal. By the time we got to the other side it was a little flooded inside. Dans laptop, external hard drive and much of our important paper work such as the carnet, were collateral of the mighty river water. She did however, to our suprise, start up again instantly. So we are about 2days from ulaan bataar now. Hopefully get our russian visa sorted as it wil expire on the 8th, get a ticket for the trans siberian, and be home in time for tea and biscuits. Hope to see everyone soon. We have almost made it, fingers crossed.@
