Drive from London to Ulan Bataar, Mongolia? In a sub-1 litre car generally considered to be rubbish and totally inappropriate for such an arduous journey? In a word: YES. This is the Mongol Rally, and this is what we will be doing this summer.
This rally is fun but dangerous - a fact not lost on the organisers:
"The Mongol Rally is a genuinely dangerous thing to do. Teams really have been chased by heavily armed bandits, and got stuck in the wilderness hundreds of miles from rescue. Temperatures can soar above 50 degrees centigrade which will kill you very quickly and there will often be no medical facilities. You really are on your own."
So, take a look around our website, and if you think it would be amusing to help us risk our necks in the name of charity, then please sponsor the Alpine Hippy team - the money goes to some great charities and we will keep you up to date as the event progresses. Thanks for visiting.
